If you operate a Falcon 2000, West Star Aviation recommends that while accomplishing the general visual inspection of the wings during the course of your regular 24-month inspection, that your MRO pay particular attention to the wing anti-ice pipe couplings.
The Falcon Specialists at West Star Aviation report that they have seen numerous couplings not secured correctly. This results in anti-ice bleed air leaks and subsequently leading to overheat damage to the surrounding area.
Additionally, during your 24-month inspection, the West Star Falcon Team recommends confirming the proper screw length protruding from the back of the upper wing closeout. We have found screws installed that are too short, which work loose and damage the slat during retraction. If the screw is too short, there will be no threads protruding through the nut plate and should be addressed by your maintenance professional to avoid unnecessary damage.
West Star Aviation has one of the most experienced and trusted Falcon teams in the business and can address both of the above issues as well as any maintenance required for your aircraft.
